My very close friend has been at Genesis for most of this year. I've found the facility and its staff to be kind, considerate and helpful to its patients and their friends and relatives. The dedicated staff have always been attentive to my friend's needs, be they daily and routine, or more specialized such as with different types of therapy. It has been a very good environment for him, and I highly recommend this Skilled Nursing Facility for those who would benefit from its dedicated quality of care.
Do not send your loved one here. My dad went into septic shock and ended up getting several bacterial infections. Unfortunately he passed away. He had a stroke and was paralyzed on his right side. Yall took my father away from me. The staff there were rude and unprofessional and did nothing to help him.
My brother was in this facility before he passed away. I found it to be dirty, with trash pushed under the bed. I'm sure the staff there did the best they could, but they appeared to be understaffed. My sister-in-law and her son from another marriage told me not to say anything, but I feel like I should have reported this place for lack of care and lack of cleanliness.
All I know is they let my brother sit in a wet bed for hours. They also said he has dimentia(sp) and then kicked him out and left him in a wheelchair on his porch! Really! What is wrong with this place! Don’t go there!
After a lengthy hospital stay, our Dad required additional medical & therapy needs before returning home. For a second time in less than 2 years, he chose Genesis - Mount Olive Center for those needs. Upon admission, the Lord chose the sweetest nurse to greet us & she immediately put our minds at ease regarding Daddy’s medical status. It only got better, because from his first day of admission until his discharge, ALL of the staff were very helpful & super nice. Any issues or concerns were addressed efficiently. We visited every day at various times & the staff were always hard at work & took pride in their jobs. The nurses kept us informed of Dad’s progress & any medical issues. The therapists were amazing at persuading him to participate in his sessions even when he felt lazy. They had him moving around & walking in no time. Kudos to the kitchen staff, Daddy even enjoyed most of the meals. From the bottom of our hearts, our family would like to thank the entire staff (from housekeeping & building maintenance, to ice cart & kitchen staff, to nurses & cna’s, to all the therapists, office staff, social worker, transport services, business office, & administration). You are very much appreciated for making our Dad’s stay easier for him & us. We wish you all much success.
