My grandma has been here for about 3 years. She gets excellent care. The staff truly care about her & she appreciates that they really get to know her. I think she appreciates even more that they are willing to share their lives with her. She knows when they are getting married, going on a trip, etc & it brightens her day. There are plenty in memory care & I always hear the staff treating them with the utmost respect even if they need to redirect them. The place is clean & nice. They also have really nice holiday events for the residents & their families.
Im so thankful that Pana Health and Rehab accepted my dad as a resident after he was no longer able to stay in assisted living. I toured a few other facilities in Decatur (where I am located) and left crying thinking I would never find a place that would be "good enough" for my dad. Michele gave me the initial tour and the atmosphere was different, everyone had a smile and you could tell they truly cared about each other and the patients. My dad has has now been here 7 months and I know I will miss some names but I wanted to recognize some of the staff that I have personally connected with - Michele, Kevin, Jamie, Barbie, Gretchen, Gayle, Cassie, Wanda, Nicky, Missy & Belinda, a big THANK YOU for providing the safe & caring environment my dad deserves ❤️

I love watching the personalized care and hellos they share with my family member.
I came in to see my dad while he was having lunch. I observed a very caring atmosphere. The CNAs that were attending to and feeding some of the patients/residents were so sweet and loving with them. Warmed my heart. My dad doesn’t need that much help right now, but it was awesome to see how great these caregivers were being.
Hospital initially provided us with a search list of rehab places within thirty miles.
Just because places are on the list doesn’t guarantee they are appropriate or have open beds.
Worked our way down the list, starting with the five star places.
Wound up at a two star place that was a bad experience,
After re-hospitalization, had the hospital expand the search list to fifty miles.
Found five star Pana Health and Rehab Center.
