If I could give this place zero stars I would! This place is horrible! 3 Patients have passed in the last 2-3 months. Any complaints given to RN Or any other on top of RN Don’t do anything They run out of diapers and restock till family member complains! No soap to shower them restrooms contain no paper towels for their employees or residents guest. They want to be on top of infection control but if you go to the back area of the facility they have dirty linens bags on the grown bags of trash a complete mess. Last but not least big roaches in the their rooms. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVE ONES HERE!!!

My mom was a patient there for 8 days in October 2021. Very friendly and caring staff. Large portions of hot meals three times a day, too much food for senior appetites. The place has signs of wear with equipment and could use new wheelchairs, walkers and remodeled bathrooms. No private rooms.

My mother just recently was admitted to Gem because she had a hip replacement after falling at home. Gem is very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. The nurses gave me important updates on my mom's progress and her nursing assistant was respectful and caring. It seems like the staff are like a family and work well together. The rehab team made my mom stronger and now she is able to walk again:) I would recommend this facility to all my friends and family.

After my mother went I could not find anyone who had a positive experience. Found out night staff was not charting events so day staff had no idea what was going on. Hallways smelled and doors propped open with trashcans. Rooms are not all the same. Staff says one thing Dr.s say another. New administrator, 2nd day on the job when I had to call a meeting with staff. Hope new guy can do something with the place. Would not recommend, avoid if possible. Check on family member as often as possible.

Less than 48 hours of admission I told them to call 911 and upon arrival at emergency room he had blood sugar over 800. Had to be intubated and transferred to ICU where he stayed several days They clearly knew nothing about managing diabetes. He would not have survived the night. He is 50 yrs old.
