My mom is so happy at Life Care Center! It was the best decision our family made letting her stay. She enjoys many friends, the wonderful staff, and the opportunity for family to gather as often as we want. I am truly grateful for the loving care she receives!! ❤️
The care given at Life Care Center is amazing. The food is delicious, physical therapy has been great. Our mom is improving faster than expected. The care that the nurses give is outstanding. I was overwhelmed by being asked if there was anything they could bring me, as a visitor!! Truly reflects on how Mom is healing and improving!!!
This is just a first impression as a visitor, but I was very pleased by how responsive the staff was to answering the call light, and how friendly they were... The room was big and everywhere was very clean. There was plenty of guest seating. There was an issue with room temp, but they were trying to improve it with fans... that might be something that should cost half a star, because my friend was warm, but I was comfortable... It looks like they address issues promptly. My friend likes her physical therapist. I will add more after my next visit when I see more of this facility. My friend had a much smoother transition to a SNF than I did!
IF you LOVE & CARE about your family DO NOT LET them BE PLACED HERE. MOST of the nurses and CNA's are RUDE and have horrible attitudes to be "caring" for the elderly and disabled. Especially a cna or rn named LauraLee. IF HER mother seen how she treated people she would be ashamed! None of them have bed side manners. THEY leave your ones in their soiled "adult diaper " ALL NIGHT. SIMPLY PUT THEY DO NOT CARE about. They made my mother miss her shuttle for dialysis at 3:30..the "Life Care " van finally took her but guess what...they didn't pick her up at 8:49 now 71 yr old mother is scared and in TEARS ABOUT TO CALL 911 This facility IS A JOKE AND NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!
My mom has been here for a year now and is thriving with her health now that she has consistent care! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable her by name. They are encouraging and when they have time they will take a moment to truly engage with her and her roommate like family. Today we came to take her out for the afternoon and she was ready with a big smile. The facility itself is very clean and not stuffy even though it's a bit rundown and older style furniture. My mom doesn't like to be around groups of people but they offer a wide variety of activities and the activity director tries very hard to accommodate the residents and their ideas into fun projects, games etc. I wish legally the resident didn't have the final say to join in as my mom is very shy and deals with depression. When asked to go to an activity it's almost always no thank you. But if myself or someone else in the family "pushes her to go" and we join in, she loves it! Her favorite activities are ice cream and bingo. She enjoys going to the library and checking out books for her enjoyment in her room. September is one of her favorite nurses and is like a sister to my mom. On occasion I have showed up to mom needing toiletry items that the center provides and the waits for her to receive them or have bedding changed has been an issue. I attribute that to lack of enough staff so hopefully that will be addressed better. Overall we enjoy the friendly staff and the extra rooms like the day room and gazebo for visits!
