Visited this facility for the first time and was greeted by Silvia at the front desk. She is FANTASTIC! Well dressed and what a multi tasker! She’s also a CNA here and based off of my interaction with her, she has compassion on her patients ❤️
My husband had no "choice" in being placed in your facility, neither he nor I was consulted regarding his placement there. While there he was left to lay in his bed 24/7,no call lights were answered when he needed to get up to the bathroom so thusly was left laying in urine. I've been a nurse for 55yrs an just recently retired when we moved here 2 1/2 yrs ago. Once he was placed in your facility a doctor who didn't know him was thusly in charge of his care and refused to listen to me regarding taking him home where I and my adult children and grandchildren who lived in our home could care for him 100% better than he had in your facility. We saw him getting weaker everyday he was there and was afraid he'd never get out. Within 24 hrs of being home he was getting up and walking with very little assistance and could smile for the first time in a week. There were other issues while there that need mentioning. His roomate had his TV on EXTRA loud day and night. He got very little sleep the whole time he was there. The staff was made aware of the problem so they did turn it off when he fell asleep but when he would wake up during the night he'd turn it back on. The food was good at lunch but suppers were pretty bad to disgusting most days. Being post op he needed to eat, especially proteins, but was never offered protein drinks between meals. The June 25th supper was memorable as the most disgusting tray of food. It consisted of a cheese sandwich on mushy bread that wasn't toasted except for a minute portion of the bread that looked to be an attempt at toasting. There was a bowl of overcooked vegetables that you could't really tell what kind they were. My son saw it and went to Wendy's and brought him a decent meal. I can still see the satisfied look on his face. In the 6 days he was there he had no bath/shower or given soap water and towels to clean himself each day. When someone is incontinent of urine he should have been washed up and given fresh gown and linens. I found it hard to believe that in these modern times that fresh linen isn't put on each bed daily. I guess nursing care sadly isn't what it use to be. There was one staff that didn't even work on his hall happened by and when asked about his having to lay in a dirty bed she quickly came back with clean linen and fixed the bed. I think her name is Claire.
My father did not have a good experience at this nursing home while in rehab. He had a hip replacement and when he needed to get up to use the bathroom the nurses/cna told him to push call button and it would take them 30-45 to Come to his room, while he can hear them in the hallway talking and laughing. I went in several times in the mornings and some of the nurses/cna’s just look so unhappy to be there. He stayed 3 days and did not finish his rehab, we are doing rehab at home. Nurse Becky was very Friendly.
This facility cares about their residents. My loved one came here and was treated kindly. We liked how clean it was. Bonnie was attentive and answered questions. Natalie was very caring and helpful. The therapy team and nurses helped my mom gain her gain her health back..
As I was not a patient in your facility, but my brother was, I am NOT impressed at all. He spent almost a month there and did NOT have a shower in over a week. When he asked for information on some things it seemed as no one really knew much about anything. When he was discharged, he was home for 3 days before a nurse called ME to inform that his night medications were left at the facility. Is there not a discharge list/policy on items at the facility that should go home with the patient? He was NOT impressed much except that the walking therapy was very much needed and the therapists did a good job on helping to gain some strength.
