My MIL moved in here almost 3 years ago and could not be happier. The staff are truly caring and kind. They are open to suggestions and are willing to take on new clubs or activities. She really likes that the apartments all have exterior corridors, so residents usually keep their door open and their screen door closed, so other residents can walk by and say hi or ask if she's coming to lunch. It's almost like a college dorm, because there is so much social activity.
My grandfather has been so happy (at 95 years old) at Atterdag. He moved in in 2020. They have been very careful with COVID, the staff is top notch- very sweet, caring, and supportive of the WHOLE family for the person staying there. My grandpa loves all the activities, the people, the staff, and the food!! We couldn't be happier with him there! He is in independent care now, but it's comforting to have all levels of care available when needed. His apartment is kept very clean by housekeeping- it's bright and sunny. On nice days he sits out on his patio and chats with the neighbors. Our family has been recommending Atterdag to everyone!
My grandmother has been placed here by my aunt and from what I can see is totally content. The rooms are sweltering but for her being cold like she always has been is perfectly comfortable. With her little room she has her whole setup from her home and her nice television playing her crush Dean Martin on what I assume has to be a constant loop. Lol. Only qualm is that their. Telephones SUCK. I can never hear her nor she me, even the nurses and aids at the community seem to not be able to hear through the phones.
The Director of Nursing is a tyrant. Very unpleasant. Staff are afraid of her. My tv didn't work during most of my stay. From 7-4 every day, very loud construction was going on and I was told that would be ongoing for 3 years. The only thing hgood about this place is the food
this is not what is supposed to be bad food bad care and the heat air dosnt work help
