I can’t say enough good things about Marissa, the receptionist at my dad’s nursing home. From the very first day, she has been an absolute gem. She’s always pleasant and welcoming, no matter how busy things get. Every time I call or stop by with a question, she’s quick to provide the information I need and never makes me feel rushed. Marissa has a real gift for talking with people. She's warm, professional, and genuinely caring. It’s clear she takes pride in making sure families feel comfortable and informed. She truly helps make a difficult situation so much easier, and I’m so grateful for her kindness and dedication.
I'm not one to leave reviews but when something is worth it I think it deserves it. The attention is great from the transfer from the hospital where Evelyn helped us very kind at the entrance that is Judith the attention is excellent in the same way for the nurses who pay a lot of attention to their patients giving them the dedication they deserve especially to my aunt who was there for 2 weeks. I want to thank all the rehabilitation members who with so much patience, dedication, love for work and love that patients deserve make every therapy enjoyable. Especially to Kristine to Pius who were the ones who took care of all my aunt's therapies during her stay there. God bless this place and those who make it up because adults deserve a lot of attention and they give it. Thank you
Sara, the nighttime receptionist, is absolutely wonderful! She’s always so kind, welcoming, and professional no matter what time it is. She goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and taken care of. Her positive attitude and helpfulness really stand out — it’s always a pleasure to see her at the front desk. Thank you, Sara, for your excellent customer service and friendly smile every night!
Do not put your loved one in this facility, my sister had a wound on her leg and it got maggots in it. was supposed to be receiving wound care not sure how you can miss that if getting wound care but they did I can say few of the nurses were very caring but were overworked. not enough staff for the patients they have to take care of. Also they cannot facilitate anyone on hospice. my sister was dying we had nowhere to sit to stay with her we were told they would watch her and noone did next thing we know she was gone and noone checked on her all night, we could have stayed with her but would have had to stand in a corner. They in no way should do hospice there. Then only after we call to check on her did we find out she passed we got there she was not covered up not cleaned up and was not cleaned up until right before the funeral home came. it was apparent she was in distress before she died. it was absolutly the worst experience. Its very sad some of the people that work there are very caring but its very obvious they are overworked. Just please find another place.
It is difficult when a loved one suffers an injury or health condition that requires a stay in a skilled nursing facility. The hospital did not give us much time to research our options, and that made it even more difficult. After speaking with another facility that provides a higher level of care than what we required, they referred us to The Woodlands Nursing and Rehab Center. You hear horror stories of people being mistreated and want to make sure your loved one does not have to experience anything like that, especially when they are already in a vulnerable position because of whatever landed them there in the first place. The staff at The Woodlands Nursing and Rehab Center were fabulous! All of the aides, nurses, therapists, administrators, and other staff members were so nice and caring. We really appreciated the way they treated our family. They were terrific not only to the patient but also to the rest of our family, who visited frequently. We couldn't have been more pleased with their care. One area that could be improved upon is the food. The breakfast is the same daily, and it would be nice to switch it up occasionally. Not all meals were bad, and you can bring whatever food you'd like to your loved ones as long as they aren't on a special diet. We did that frequently, so it wasn't a big deal for us, but it is worth pointing out in case your situation is different.
