I’m writing to express a concern involving an individual named John Firestone, whose name I was given by a staff member at your front desk. I live in the nearby apartments and often visit my cousin who resides on the 3rd floor of your facility. During these visits, I have repeatedly noticed Mr. Firestone engaging in inappropriate behavior behind the dumpster area specifically, smoking Weed. The smell is extremely strong and unpleasant, and it creates a disturbing environment, especially considering the location. What’s most concerning is that this area is in close proximity to the pool, which is regularly attended by teenagers and small children. I find it unacceptable and quite frankly, disgusting, that such behavior is taking place in a space meant for families and community enjoyment. I respectfully ask that this matter be looked into promptly. Please Thank You
Person working 7pm at the front desk on 6/23/2025 is very lazy, rude, and generally bad at their job. Called ahead to inquire about visitation requirements and they gave incorrect info and then called their manager after I already arrived and got the rest of the info. Wasted tons of my time in spite of me calling ahead for specifics
My grandfather completed a two week rehab stay at Mays Chapel while recovering from a hospital stay. The staff were so kind and treated him like family. My grandmother visited every day and had nothing but compliments regarding every department she encountered at the facility. My grandfather also expressed how caring everyone was towards him. Definitely our top choice for any future needs!
This is an exceptional choice if you or a loved one needs inpatient rehab care. I was released from Lorien yesterday. Everyone there, from administrators, physical therapists, nurses to aids were exceptionally caring, warm, compassionate individuals. My roommate was a major curmudgeon. The food, he would complain, was cold. "Jewish people don't eat cold food," he would bark. The staff would put his foot in a microwave to warm it. When that wasn't good enough, they would make an off menu grilled cheese sandwich for him. All of this without every loosing their wonderful sense of humor and good cheer. The staff bend over backwards to please. When you're able, there are many pleasant common areas of the facility to hang out and a nice gym. Yes, the food ranges from fair to inedible, but you don't go to a rehab facility for a gourmet experience.
My uncle was visiting from out of town and fell and fractured his hip. In order for him to go home he needed to rehab. He had a 4 week stay at Lorien and we feel that he could not have received better care. The place was clean, the staff was caring, and kind, and the rehab was first rate. The Lorien administrator was extremely helpful along the way helping us navigate my uncles road to recovery. Highly recommend if need rehab.
