My family member was a resident at Bloomfield Orchard Villa for over 5 years! It is a small building and clearly a “home away from home”! Communication was easily accessible due to its size! The staff was friendly and supportive! The activities were tailored to her level of care that kept her very busy from holiday parties ,entertainment, Bingo, weekly ice cream socidd added, movies, daily exercise, current events, pet therapy and room visits and when she wasn’t up to leaving her room! Dietary tried hard to accommodate her preferences! The
Social worker was very caring!
My father was in there for 4 days. He had a catheter reinserted and by the next morning there was a significant amount of blood. I let the DON know. Also he needed a mattress to help with bedsores and a frame that would accommodate his 6’4! height. I returned that evening and his stomach was descended and there was no irons output in the catheter, just dark blood. The two nurses on duty that night were rude and one was sitting at the desk with earbuds in. I said I wanted
Him to go to the hospital. An hour and a half went by before they finally called an ambulance. He is being treated in the hospital for hematuria dehydration.
I've been visiting friends at this place for over a year. The staff is really nice and the residents (who know how nice it is) appreciate the beautiful surroundings and caretakers. When someone has a bad experience here, it might be due to circumstances outside the control of this administration. Visit for yourself and see the difference.
The facility is small but everyone is a TEAM. The DON and Administration, and management is Awesome when it comes to the Residents
I have my Mom in this place and I think it was the best decision I ever made she’s always clean and over all she’s doing great on her health and all the staff do a great job!!
