Upon talking to the person who handled admitting a patient was told he was referred there by a doctor at NEA Baptist for three other specialist besides getting this check up with cardiology Emily said all she saw was cardiology and then found another one, and I said the same Doctor Who did the urology referral did the other two referrals too that’s the only reason that he is here it is not gonna be Totally long-term because we are hoping to bring him home once he sees all the specialist. Long story short, none of those specialist were ever made. There were several items that are horrific to us and when we got him home, his PCP immediately got all three referrals and within two months he seen all three referrals plus seen the cardiologist for his recheck because he had a stroke July 18. There was danger to patient in the patient’s bathrooms. They said that Daniel was not in the bathrooms. we found them in the bathroom twice and he took his catheter out once there he was only allowed water if he asked he has dementia. He’s not gonna remember to ask they get a small 4 ounce cup of water to drink because of the catheter he was supposed to drink a lot. We found his legs very swollen and a Band-Aid he had on his arm where they took blood. The skin was swollen over that and he was sitting at the nurses desk for at least 30 minutes before we got there. He had a tendencies hang out at the nurses desk. There’s much more and I don’t feel that we owe a balance because the service was not done there they got paid by Medicare for the bed while he was there and he wasn’t there as long as really Medicare said he would be because he was in the hospital as much as he was at the nursing home During the total length of being first admitted to the nursing home and I didn’t see if anybody worked on that report or not?

The Staff is kind and encouraging to the residents. The Staff ask residents to do things they need to do. The staff is not demanding and they don't tell residents what to do. My friend in " The Springs" is doing much better and is getting stronger and improving. My friend is much more alert since he arrived at " The Springs". The Staff is optimistic that my friend will continue to improve and get better and stronger with physical therapy. The Staff talks and treats residents and visitors and fellow coworkers with respect.

The staff's friendly nature is evident, and the business manager makes a concerted effort to ensure residents' needs are met. Residents were smiling, and a sense of contentment was apparent among both staff and residents.

This place was a joke when my father was there. Didn't notify me my father had an infection. I am so glad I came back into town early or else he would have been dead from sepsis. His foot was completely black and dead. Instead of rushing him to the hospital, they said they were WAITING to receive a referral from his Dr. I don't know why they didn't think it was an emergency situation. I got there, took him to the hospital where his blood pressure was extremely low, he was septic and had to do an emergency amputation.

My husband is a rehabilitation inpatient at Springs of Avalon Nursing & Rehabilitation facility for 30 days. This is his 4th or 5th visit to the "Springs," because he's been there 4 other times for respite care. While visiting I noticed how helpful the staff is. The facility is clean and inviting. Staff is very accommodating making my job more pleasant and doable. The patients are clean and sitting up during the day. They also have smoking facilities where staff wheels each patient, who desires to smoke, out in the very nice courtyard where they can enjoy some sun. My husband seems to enjoy his stay. No complaints from him and that makes my job more pleasant.
