First class experience great people very helpful, very knowledgeable and they have brought me back to normal life almost. Triple bypass at 85 years old, amazing surgeon Dr Dunnington at St Helena California Adventist health I love to see the hummingbirds, every room has a feeder out side the room window and usually at least one hummingbird, that has been my experience. The staff can take you outside when able and Door Dash is allowed and all the TVs are smart and have YouTube premium available, which I subscribe to $15. per month, a great value. But they got to stop serving sweet and low, that's the most awful sugar substitute in the world, and should be outlawed, !!

Northbrook is a gem in the heart of Willits. It's obvious that the nurses, CNAs and entire team truly care about the patients they're taking care of. Every time I come in, I'm greeted by warm smiles and compassionate, devoted humans. Thanks Northbrook for providing our community with a safe space to for people to rehabilitate and get better.

Northbrook staff embraces compassionate care for their residents. The staff is not only caring but also incredibly competent. Any slight changes in a residents status are recognized quickly by the nurses and CNAs. Appropriate treatments are put in place right away to prevent repeat trips to the hospital. Northbrook’s Medical Director Dr. Seema Rao is not only incredibly knowledgeable having been a geriatrician for 33 years, she is easy to get in touch with, comes to the facility in person every week, and initiates above satisfactory plans of care. She orders appropriate lab work, focuses on pain management, and appropriate follow ups/referrals. She is always willing to take the time to give Northbrook’s families and patients a phone call if they have questions about the their plan of care. The administrative staff works hard to make sure they are addressing patient and family concerns as quickly as possible. It’s very clear that Northbrook strives to be not only the care giver of choice, but also the employer of choice in their community. They often grow and develop staff from within, will send their staff to additional trainings, and always make sure that they have a resource in the company for support. The culture in the building is joyful and happy. It’s a large building that has capacity for 70 beds so the residents have a nice space in their rooms. They have a nice backyard for families to visit. Often when whether permits the therapy department will do their sessions outdoors. Northbrook’s therapy department not only focuses on rehabilitating their patients physically, but also looking at the patient as a whole person and designs therapy plans that meet their physical needs but also sensory needs. The activities department does group activities all day long and for residents that don’t enjoy groups they will spend 1:1 time and make sure the resident has the materials they need to do activities they enjoy while in the facility. Social services and nursing focus on mental and emotional well-being providing support where needed especially after stressful hospital experiences or surgeries. Northbrook’s kitchen goes above and beyond to initiate therapeutic diets for the resident’s but additionally doing interviews and follow ups with the residents to ensure their preferences and dislikes of food are met. Shout out to the housekeeping department as well. The classic nursing home smell that many of us have encountered in other facilities does not exist at Northbrook. It is clean and odor free! Thank you Northbrook for your dedication to exceptional care of residents in Willits, Mendocino County, Lake County, Sonoma County and beyond!
