Anson's Place
Anson's Place is a licensed adult day program serving Aurora, Colorado. Adult Day Programs (also called Adult Day Care or Adult Day Health Care) provide structured daytime activities, supervision, and support services for adults who need assistance during the day but return to their homes or family caregivers in the evening.
Services typically include health monitoring, therapeutic activities, social and recreational programming, meals and snacks, personal care assistance, medication management, and in some cases, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing services. Programs run during daytime hours, usually 6-12 hours per day.
Who We Serve: Adult Day Programs serve adults who live at home with family caregivers but need supervision and assistance during daytime hours. Participants often include older adults with dementia, adults with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or injury. These programs also provide respite for family caregivers.
In Colorado, programs like Anson's Place are typically regulated by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. This type of program generally operates under a Assisted Living Residence License.
Payment Options: In Colorado, Medicaid may help pay for adult day services through the Elderly, Blind and Disabled (EBD) Waiver. Eligibility is based on both financial and functional criteria. Contact Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing or visit https://hcpf.colorado.gov/long-term-services-and-supports to learn about eligibility requirements and how to apply. Wait lists are common for waiver programs, so applying early is recommended.
Families researching adult day programs should verify the program's current license status, review any inspection reports, and schedule a visit to assess whether the environment and services meet their loved one's needs. For more information about adult day program regulations in Colorado, visit Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
Licensing requirements and regulations may change. We recommend verifying current requirements directly with your state's licensing agency.

Honestly if you’re looking for an average adult daycare this place is okay, but if you’re looking for a place to help your autistic child grow and improve then I’d go elsewhere. Promises are made and not kept and the person that runs the place cannot keep a schedule and often seems to be unprofessional. They often change their schedule last minute, which is odd as they are dealing with autistic individuals.
