Brookdale Muirfield

My parents moved into Brookdale Muirfield 3 years ago, when they were in their mid- nineties. We have had an excellent experience there, and have nothing but praise for the facility and staff. For one year, both my parents lived in the memory care unit due to my father’s dementia. Mom was permitted to stay with him, and a custom apartment was created for their care needs. At all times, dad and mom were treated with dignity and respect by the entire staff. The nurses and aides were caring and kind, and were always happy to assist with whatever was needed. After dad’s passing, mom moved to the assisted living side of the building. She has now resided there for two years. Our experience there has also been exceptional. It is a smaller community where everyone is known by name. The entire staff work together to provide a safe and loving environment for all. The medical staff is professional, knowledgeable and familiar with my mother’s history. The management and support staff, at every level, are friendly and always looking out for her. Activities are planned each day, and residents may choose to participate or not. The facility is clean, and outdoor spaces are lovely. It is a welcoming environment where my mother has been happy and well cared for throughout her stay.

After searching and visiting multiple Assisted Living places for our over 90 mother, we chose Brookdale Muirfield. We liked that it is not a large facility. Their onsite staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This was our observation as well as from asking residents. The facility is clean with daily activities. There is a considerable amount of documents required before a move in, and the staff was very helpful and patient with us. Their documents spell out what they provide and all associated costs. In order to provide the best care and for the best stay, they also have you provide as much information as possible about the individual. So far, we have been impressed.

I was looking for my friend in a hurry. They helped me out when others failed. Almost a year now since my friend has been in, and she is so much livelier and healthy. She is interacting more and has been eating so well. Friendly staff and nurses. We chose the right place for sure!!

Staff at the community are truly exceptional. They make my dad feel like family. Could not ask for a better community for him.
