The Arbors at Islandia West

A year and a half ago we needed to look for a memory/safe care facility for our Aunt who was struggling with dementia. We shopped around and settled on the Arbors in Islandia. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable on how to deal with loved ones with dementia and alzheimer's. They keep folks engaged with games, visits from musicians and other activities. To see our Aunt smile when we visited her was one of the best feelings since we knew she was happy being there. They have a doctor visit each week and keep you up to date with your loved ones health status. All the staff especially Traci and Tawanda are awesome. If you ever have to make the hard and difficult decision of transitioning a loved one to a care facility, I would suggest bringing them to the Arbors in Islandia. You won't regret it. They care.

My mom lived at The Arbors Assisted Living in Islandia for a little over a year, and our family could not have been happier with the experience. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive; they truly treat residents like family. The entire facility is always clean and well-maintained, which gave us great peace of mind. There are so many activities offered that my mom always had something enjoyable to do, and the beautiful outdoor space was a favorite spot for her to relax and spend time. My mother has entered the transition Arbors West a month ago diagnosed pre-dementia and is in great loving care 🥰 The comfortable clean room is peaceful and safe with good security and abundant staff. The meals and facilities are high quality. The events and Sunday church are blessed ! Easy to pick up mom for day outing with family and friends with peace she will return to a safe loving environment of five star care THANK YOU

I couldn’t ask for a better facility. My husband is in safe care since April and I was apprehensive in the beginning, wondering if I made the right choice. A beautiful place, maintained and they stay on top of redecorating. Every worker is pleasant, patient and extremely helpful. They made this transition so much easier for me.

When my 95 yr old Dad broke his hip, due to his age, his recovery was slow. When his Medicare allowance period ran out he still need supervised oversight, so he was moved to the Arbors Assisted Living facility in Islandia where he continued his rehab. This facility was just what he needed! The staff were always friendly, caring, and dependable. Dad made many friends which improved his outlook and motivated him. In addition to a variety of services and amenities, that included housekeeping, hair and nail services maintenance, medication oversight, there were weekly excursions to restaurants and shopping! Of course Dad was happy to return to his own home, but he has often said he enjoyed his time spent at the Arbors. Our family is VERY GRATEFUL to them for helping Dad to get back home!
