I started working at this location in August 2025 and initially, I genuinely loved my job. The residents are wonderful, and the staff especially the CNAs/CMA's/Nurses are some of the most uplifting, hardworking, and genuine people I’ve ever met. They truly make this building run, and without them, it would fail. They deserve way more recognition as I couldn't do what they do. Unfortunately, my experience took a sharp downturn when the new administrator arrived. The administrator struggles to keep track of even basic tasks, which makes the job unnecessarily stressful for everyone. When mistakes happen like double-scheduling interviews or meetings she refuses to take accountability and instead places the blame on others. I’ve been in the same situation where I had to own up to being late or making a mistake, and I received write-ups for it. Why should she be exempt from the same standard? Leadership is about owning your mistakes and guiding your team, not shifting blame and acting like nothing is your fault. She also regularly demonstrates severe anger issues that make the workplace uncomfortable. There seems to be more focus on appearances arguing about trivial things like how long someone has been waiting in the lobby than actually doing the work she’s supposed to. It’s unprofessional, demoralizing, and frankly embarrassing for the entire building. One star for her That said, there are some people who truly make this place shine: the CNAs/CMA's/Nurses are absolute angels overworked, underpaid, yet still compassionate and efficient. Tasha is amazing, funny and kind Erins bright smile makes the day enjoyable Rebecca manages to handle a huge workload without letting anything slip. Igor and the kitchen staff are always kind and hardworking. Housekeeping supervisor Weyland, is supportive and understanding, which makes a real difference. Jasmine is a truly hardworking housekeeper I suggest a fully digital system would make things much smoother for Mike and Mitchell In short, this could be a great place to work if leadership were competent and accountable. Right now, the environment is stressful, mismanaged, and unprofessional at the top, despite the incredible efforts of the staff who actually keep things running. 5 stars for everyone else in the building
Moved my mom back here about 6 months ago (she was previously there when it was Rose Estates and then Chapters Living). They are now back under old management and there has been a lot of positive change taking place. James did a good job resetting things. Rebecca has done a good job working with the CNA’s and has been responsive to my concerns. The CNA’s have a tough job keeping up with so many different needs of the people living there. I appreciate what they do and the care they give my mom.
This assisted living facility has serious issues with cliques and favoritism that directly affect the quality of care. The assistant director of nursing is part of the clique and constantly shows clear favoritism towards certain staff members. As a result communication it's almost impossible and concerns are dismissed. The staff who are not part of the favored group are treated differently. This creates a toxic and unprofessional environment that trickles down to the residents. Leadership has not taken meaningful steps to address these problems. Even though multiple staff members have brought it to their attention.
My sister is a resident at Antioch Valley and I had the opportunity to spend a few days at this location visiting with my sister. All the staff that I encountered were very kind, patient, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The Leadership Team at this location were also very helpful and supportive as we worked to make her living space as positive as possible.
