Brandywine Assisted Living at Toms River

My grandmother has been living at Brandywine for 5 years and each time I visit her I’m touched by how well she is cared for and how friendly everyone is! There is always someone around who offers to take a group photo when we visit for the holidays or need to reserve some extra space and help finding chairs. 😀 My family and I were deeply moved by how Brandywine helped us celebrate her recent 100th birthday! It made the day extra special and we so appreciate everyone’s kindness!

Brandywine is an excellent full service facility offering great care for all. Their staff is very understanding and responsive. It was a difficult decision to choose the right place for mom who really could no longer live alone. Now well over a year later we are very happy she is there and more importantly mom is also happy to be there.

Brandywine is family, the staff and the residents! I can't thank them enough for the loving care they gave to my dad who had alzheimer's. He lived with them for 3 years and it was during COVID! His care was exceptional especially during that difficult time! Now fast forward to today. My mom is now a resident there. She moved there in Oct. 2024. Her transformation is amazing. She is active, happy, engaged and living! The staff is awesome!! Everyone is kind, caring and compassionate! It takes very special people to do what they do! They are heros! They are our family!

My mother has been a resident at Brandywine for 7 months now. Making the decision and transitioning to a new way of life is never easy. The first week was a little rough, but after that things went very well. I have been so impressed with the staff at Brandywine. Everyone has been so warm and friendly. My mother has been impressed that everyone on staff calls all the residents by name. I can tell that it's more than knowing the resident's names though. My mother feels that the staff know her and care about her as an individual. The staff at the front desk, the wellness center, and the administration are all friendly and it is clear that they care deeply. I know that the therapy staff is a contracted service, but I will mention that my mom (who used to hate exercise and therapy) feels that the therapy staff are not only her therapists but are also her friends. Mom's cognitive decline has been quite a challenge for her and for us. Although she wishes she could be living independently in her own home, she tells me every day that she is glad she is at Brandywine. Having her at Brandywine has also been a godsend for her family, as none of us need to worry about her safety anymore. Mom now calls her room her "home", and she has made friends with other residents. She enjoys the activities, especially those related to religion, art, and the live entertainment (singing and animal visits). We are all so grateful to Brandywine staff for giving my mom a chance to live her life with the level of assistance that makes her safe and for providing activities that improve her quality of life.

It’s never easy having to make a decision for your parent that they can’t make for themselves . The anxiety of will they be treated well & with dignity is huge! My mother suffers from dementia and is feisty to say the least . She has never looked so good and comfortable which is a tremendous relief to my family . Thank you Brandywine Tom’s River !!!
