Hello. I visited my Father here for a few days from Colorado. I very much enjoyed the environment. This review is mostly about the dining services. The main restaurant has a super friendly environment and the staff was so accommodating. Enjoyed my meals there. Catalina was exceptional as our waitress/host. David was my waiter one night and he was quite good as well. My compliments to the Chefs. They had a sugar free velvet cake for Valentines Day that was a huge delight. All the other food was great too. But for a sugar free option to be that memorable definitely shows the quality of Chefs and food service staff. A couple mornings I went to the community's Cafe called the Bistro. Also a great experience. I recommend everything but my favorite was the corned beef special. The corned beef had the perfect thin crust you always hope for. The landscape is pretty and well maintained. I liked the fact they have a Veteran memorial area. Also they have a little community garden area. I also saw a very nice pool. I am glad my father chose this community. Also the security here looks top notch. Thank you so much.
My Dad recently decided he wanted to move to an independent living facility, so we started touring various locations. The minute he walked into Fellowship Square Tucson he knew it would be the one. It was so pretty, with a large, well maintained outdoor courtyard, pools, a gym shuffleboard courts, a restaurant, a bistro and more. We had lunch in the restaurant during my dad's tour and he loved it! The food and service were great, and he met so many friendly, welcoming future neighbors. Everywhere we went he met happy residents, which was the most important factor in his decision. My dad chose Fellowship Square and we finished moving his belongings in a couple of weeks ago. It was no easy task getting to that point. We live in San Diego and he lives in Glendale which complicated things for us, but Sandra went above and beyond and was an enormous help to us every step of the way. Unfortunately my dad had to go into the hospital, and then a rehab facility for several weeks and hasn't been able to enjoy his new place yet. He's getting close to his release date and is really looking forward to finally settling in there, and meeting his new neighbors. We're really excited for him and we know he'll be very happy and safe at Fellowship Square.
I did not live here personally, but my grandfather did. After my grandmother, his wife, passed away, he moved here to Tucson to be closer to my mother and me. For a while, it seemed that he would never be happy again. He lived in studio or one bedroom apartments. Then he had to stop driving. This community provided weekly (more often than that if I remember correctly) outings to necessary places, like the grocery store. He reluctantly moved in to Fellowship Square, and I'm telling you, he did a 180! He was happy for the first time since my grandmother died, and he thrived in this community. He began running some of the classes (light aerobics and some others I can't recall) and participated in the choir. Heck, he even started dating! He has since passed away, and I miss him so much, but I honestly believe he never would have found happiness again if it wasn't for this place. Thank you to all of the staff. Also: the food in the restaurant was actually really good!
Fellowship Square in Tucson has been my mom's home for the last 8 years. The friendly staff there recently celebrated her 103th birthday with a wonderful lunch in the lovely dinning room. My mom and her family were treated to balloons, cake, singing and a large custom designed birthday sign. It was a special celebration that delighted my mom. Thank you to the Social Activities Department staff at Fellowship Square. You gave my mom a big lift on her special day!
My mom‘s husband recently passed away and my sister and I were in town to go with my mom to various properties to check them out to see if she would be comfortable living there. We had a number of appointments scheduled and felt either OK or uncomfortable with the places we toured. Then we found out about fellowship Square. We didn’t have an appointment, but thought we would stop by anyhow to see if there was a possibility that we could take an unscheduled tour. Sandra came in to get to know a little bit more of the situation and what things my mom was looking for and to explain the property and amenities. Ultimately, she spent several hours with us. She took us to the dining facility so that we could experience the facility and the food. We were very pleasantly surprised Both by the dining facility and the food and the staff. Our server was Robert and he was absolutely wonderful. He also overheard that it was my mom’s birthday the next day and when we finished our meal, he had all of the servers come out and sing happy birthday to her. During the tour, Sandra passed by several of the residence and knew them by their name Which was a very positive Indicator of how the staff treats the residence. The facility itself is very open and full of flowers and fountains and trees And just a very positive place. The apartments themselves are good sized and all of the amenities are wonderful. My sister and I will be very comfortable with our mom living there and it is a place that my mom also feels comfortable about. The fact that they are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit or organization and a Christian organization was icing on the cake!!
