Serenity Hospice is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Salem, Oregon and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

There are not words to express how much their support and guidance helped us through my dad’s journey. The compassion, availability, and full wrap around support from his amazing nurse, Molly, to the support teams - Dale and Amber - to even his bath aide - Felix - and night support so we could try to get some sleep. It was maxing and helped make my dad’s journey nearly everything we hoped it would be. Not only for my dad, but also for us. We owe a huge amount of debt and gratitude for everyone who helped along the way.
I work in care community and we have worked with different hospice. Serenity Hospice is the best one I’ve seen so far. The bath aides are amazing and always go above and beyond! The nurses really listen and care for the people they help! They value your wishes and help in anyway they can! I really recommend Serenity to anyone that’s looking! They treat your family members like it’s one of their own!
The nurses and staff were incredibly kind. I could not imagine any better service . My mom adored her nurses that visited and they were never rushed and took great care of my mom until she passed. I highly recommend these amazingly organized and compassionate people. Thank you Serenity 💜
