DSP Care Provider and Driver

We are seeking a caregiver for a small residential facility in Tulare. The clients have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Driver Position Type: Part-time/Shift and fill in Overview: As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients to help them achieve their personal goals and navigate daily activities. This position will also include driving clients to day programs. Position requires a clean driving record. Company vehicle provided. Key • Maintain Household and Meal Preparation • Implement individualized support plans and document progress regularly. • Provide transportation to recreational activities. Vehicle provided. • Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel. • Foster a safe and respectful environment, ensuring clients’ rights and dignity are upheld. • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred. • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus. DSP 1 preferred but will consider training the right individual if you have some experience in caregiving. • Clean Driving Record • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Must pass an FBI background check
