Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
* Care for multiple residents in the facility.
* Observe Residents Rights.
* Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
* Bathing / Dressing
* Feeding; pass and pick-up food trays, serve snacks, keep record of intake and output
* Transfer to and from bed or chairs or other locations within the facility
* Assist to and from toilet, assisting with any toileting needs
* Monitor and record bowel movements
* Re-positioning residents unable to leave bed; also, to and from bed or chair
* Assist with personal and dental hygiene
* Assist in Ambulation
* Make beds, change linens
* Answer call lights in a timely manner to assess residents needs
* Record activities of Daily living
* Observe residents’ physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, etc. Reporting any changes to the nurse in charge.
* Use of safety devices for all precautions to prevent the spread of infection and disease.
* Provide Postmortem Care
* Evacuating residents in an emergency referring to fire and evacuation policies.
Additional Functions:
* Assisting the nurse in charge with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents
* Assisting restorative staff with range of motion and weights.
* Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
