CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Luther Home, in Marinette, WI, is actively seeking nurse aides to join our team of excellent caregivers. We currently have full-time, part-time, weekend only, and twelve hour shifts available. Do you need a limited schedule, no problem!! Luther Home has flexible scheduling options available. C.N.A Class/ Training: Not currently certified, and interested in becoming a C.N.A.? Luther Home has a C.N.A. course starting this month, which takes roughly three weeks to complete. You get paid while completing the course as the class is done during regular work hours. Upon completion you will be eligible to sit for the nurse aide competency exam. C.N.A (Transfer /Recertification ): Currently certified in another state, Not a problem! We can assist with transferring your certification to WI. Responsibilities · Help patients with personal hygiene and care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing · Take and record patient vital signs and weight · Observe and record patient’s conditions, food and liquid intake and other behavior, and report changes to supervisor · Help patients walk with canes, walkers, or other devices · Make beds, and maintain clean and safe environments for patients · Lift, transport, and move patients using the appropriate techniques · Treat all residents, family, and other visitors with respect, and engage with them in a tactful manner at all times · Comply with all safety and health regulations Qualifications · High school diploma or GED preferred · Must hold current CNA certification in Wisconsin – Not certified, Luther Home offers nurse aide training at no cost. · Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or in a long term care facility preferred · Must be in good physical health and able to lift and move patients, walk or stand for long periods of time · Must be compassionate and personable · Strong attention to detail · Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments · Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations in a professional manner
