Night Shift Home Care Aide Needed 12/25 and 12/31 (Spanish Speaking Preferred) Job Summary: The Home Care Aide provides essential personal care and support services to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. This role is vital in maintaining the client's independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding. Help clients with mobility, including transfers from bed to wheelchair, assistance with walking, and use of assistive devices. Provide medication reminders as per the care plan. Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and changing bed linens. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed. Ensure a safe and clean living environment for the client. Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and errands. Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or mental health to the supervisor. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition. Complete daily logs, incident reports, and other required paperwork. Compliance and Safety: Follow the client’s care plan and adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques to prevent injury. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and improve skills. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Home Care Aide (HCA) certification. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and reliable. Working Conditions: Work is performed in the client’s home. May involve exposure to various household conditions, such as pets, smoking, and cleaning chemicals. May Require physical stamina, including the ability to lift and transfer clients. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. Ability to handle stress and respond to emergencies in a calm manner.
