Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description: Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and caring Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care and supportive services to clients in their homes. The HHA will assist clients with activities of daily living while promoting their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence. Responsibilities: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene. Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed. Prepare meals and assist with feeding when required. Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to the client’s care. Provide medication reminders according to the care plan and applicable regulations. Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Provide companionship and emotional support. Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. Follow the client’s individualized care plan and all company policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality and respect privacy and dignity at all times. Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with family members and the care team. Qualifications: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification, as required by state regulations. CPR/First Aid certification may be required. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients’ homes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, patient, compassionate, and trustworthy. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Ability to safely assist clients with daily activities and mobility. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform routine caregiving activities. Ability to assist with transfers and mobility within the limits of the position and applicable training. Ability to lift or move items as required by the client’s care plan and company policy. Schedule Full-time, part-time, per-diem, and/or weekend shifts may be available depending on client needs.
