Akahina Home Care provides non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. *DO NOT APPLY TO UNLESS YOU HAVE CAREGIVER EXPERIENCE Duties include, but are NOT limited to: Companionship and conversation Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation Medication and appointment reminders Assistance with grooming and bathing Escorting clients to appointments Alzheimer’s Care & Dementia Care ADL's & IADLs / Personal Care: Veterans Care Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues Diapering Hands on bathing and cleaning of peri areas Contributing to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life Performing other reasonable duties as assigned Reporting hours according to office policy Reporting any significant changes in a clients needs or living conditions Regularly communicating with supervisor and office staff Minimum 1 year of experience necessary Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly manner Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect The position may require you to run errands and provide incidental transportation for doctors appointments etc. for a client using your vehicle or a clients's vehicle We have a variety of shifts available to fit you your schedule.
