Personal Care Assistance (PCA)

GENERAL FUNCTION: TS Healing Concepts is seeking a compassionate, attentive personal care assistance to care for and assist our clients to ensure that they lead safe healthy lives. The PCA will provide emotional support as clients heal or cope with disabilities and aging sickness. They will take care of basic housekeeping, prepare meals, remind clients to take medication, help clients engage in activities and social events, and perform other tasks to help clients feel safe and supported. You should have strong communication, planning skills and be willing to meet the physical demands of the position and comply with all safety medical and dietary directions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Engaging clients by conversing with them, planning and attending to them as they participate in appropriate social activities and hobbies. 2) Handling basic housekeeping 3) Planning and preparing meals 4) Taking a genuine interest in clients by listening to their needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe 5) Monitoring clients, recording and reporting any developments or concerns to appropriate parties 6) Handling errands for or with clients 7) Providing emotional support for clients as they heal or cope with their conditions.
