Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
*$500 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT*
Serenity Gardens in Kulpmont, PA is looking for a hardworking, caring Personal Care Assistants to add to our team! We are looking for a Part Time and Full Time team members on ALL shifts 1st (7a - 3p), 2nd (3p - 11p), & 3rd Shift (11p - 7a).
We also provide job advancement into a Medical Technician position. You will receive paid training to get the certificate as well as a higher pay rate once on the job training is complete.
This could be a great opportunity for those who are currently laid off or unable to attend school due to social distancing guidelines and can possibly turn into permanent full time employment (although all are encouraged to apply)! We provide on the job training for those who don't have experience in working with the elderly.
*The only requirements are a High School Diploma or GED and a passion to make a difference in our residents life
Employees are required to work every other weekend and some Holidays.
Responsibilities and Duties
Our personal care assistants are responsible for assisting residents with showering, bathing, dressing, incontinence care, oral care, laundry and transportation to/from the dining room.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or GED
Encouraged but not required upon hire:
First Aid/ CPR certified
1+ year experience in a similar setting
