Part Time & Per Diem Aide Needed
Position Summary
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides direct care and support to residents in a 51-bed personal care home. PCAs assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment, and promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Provide support with meals, including serving, feeding (when necessary)
Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions to the nurse or supervisor.
Respond promptly and compassionately to resident requests and call bells.
Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by facility policies and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, high-quality resident care.
Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma/ GED equivalent
Previous experience in personal care, long-term care, or a similar setting (preferred but not required).
Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, transferring, and assisting residents. Able to lift, push and pull, 20-100 pounds to fulfill the job requirements
Effective leadership, management and delegating skills.
Experience in group or residential settings (preferred but not required)
At least 18 years of age
· Effective communication skills with all levels of management, staff, residents, guests, consultants, and volunteers.
· Demonstrates a working knowledge of Personal Care Regulations or willingness to learn.
