Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (ABI Client) Location: Waterbury, CT Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Butler Rescue Hands, Inc. is seeking patient, dependable caregivers to support a female client with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in Waterbury, CT. This case requires caregivers who are experienced with frequent redirection, structured routines, and behavior support. This is an excellent opportunity for caregivers who are calm, consistent, and comfortable working with clients who require ongoing supervision and cueing. Position Details Female client with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Multiple shifts available, including overnight Client is a smoker (smokes in designated areas) Consistent scheduling available Responsibilities Provide ongoing supervision and safety monitoring Frequent redirection, cueing, and reassurance Assist with activities of daily living as needed Support structured routines and behavioral consistency Monitor and document behaviors and changes in condition Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping related to care Support safe smoking routines per care plan Communicate effectively with family and care team Complete accurate documentation per agency standards Requirements Experience working with ABI clients required Strong skills in redirection and behavioral support Patience, consistency, and professional communication Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols Must pass background check Reliable transportation Why Work With Butler Rescue Hands, Inc.
