Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is a foremost subacute rehab and long-term care provider in Rockland County, New York. We are recruiting an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our LTC facility. The Unit Manager is a member of the nurse management team. This position shares responsibility for adequate coverage, including rotational weekends, as needed. Participates in Department Meetings, Quality Improvement endeavors, Team Committees, and policy and procedure development, as warranted. Assures regulatory compliance in the Unit—reports to the Director of Nursing. The Unit Manager will supervise nursing staff to monitor patient care. Must have clinical and management experience in a Long-term Care setting. Additional duties include: · Oversee all areas of the assigned Unit. · Assist with treatment and medication administration. · Participate in family meetings and discharge planning process. · Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments. · Investigate all incident reports and follow up accordingly. · Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure the quality of care. · Participate and report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings. · Handle annual evaluations of staff. Requirements: · Valid R.N. license for the New York. · Experience in Long Term Care (Preferred) · Two years of supervisory management experience in an LTC setting · PRI Assessor (Preferred) · · I.V.
