First off the only reason why I gave a star was to be able to comment! That being said… This place is the worst place to have your family members and to work for! My sister visited this facility through an agency to help out. Unfortunately, the floor manager treated her TERRIBLY! The manager nit-picked at everything my sister did during her entire 8 hour shift. Most employees there were puzzled by the manager’s behavior towards my sister. My sister is a kind and caring person who goes above and beyond to help patients and residents. However, the manager ended up calling the agency my sister was with and told them to remove her from the schedule. My sister only found out about this when she called the agency. It’s unclear what the manager told the agency! Also the facility has a bad smell and residents are not being cared for properly. They lack supplies, so the residents can’t be cared for properly. My sister was repeatedly asked by the residents if she would be working there from now on because she was so kind to them and took the time to speak to them and care for them. One resident even told her she was the ONLY nice person there! That alone speaks volumes. If the employees are treated horribly, imagine how your loved one is being treated there! It’s a sad and poor service. If you don’t know how to be kind and take care of residents, look for another job!

I'm visiting my aunt today and recently at the meridian. I've been really impressed with the care of the staff- particularly my Aunt's PT therapist that we asked to talk to you. She came out and was extremely kind and patient and answering questions. It's nice to see staff that really value the people they are serving and I know it's not always an easy job. Thanks!

My husband broke his back and stayed here for 3 weeks of rehabilitation therapy. Their staff is AMAZING! The therapists worked miracles for my husband. The nurses and nurse assistants always took care of his needs in a timely manner. They were so friendly and kind. I actually cried when he was discharged, knowing I would miss them. Special shout out to Nurse Stephanie! The social worker followed up on everything and gave us a smooth transition to home.

I hate the fact that my father has to stay at this place, but he doesn’t have a choice. The smell inside of this place is horrible. The workers are always sitting down and not doing anything while the Call alarm goes off for different rooms. The place needs to be deep cleaned with bleach because as soon as you walk in the smell of pee and poop and food mixed together is disgusting They don’t change the bedsheets often the residence get their clothes washed maybe once every two weeks and it’s not a guarantee that they will even get their clothes back even if they’re labeled. Majority of the workers are rude and have a nasty attitude and clearly don’t like their jobs. They should definitely reconsider a new career if taking care of people isn’t for them. I’ve witnessed workers ignore residence by turning their backs and walking away as if they aren’t asking for help. I feel like the only way they care is if it’s their actual family members and not someone else’s. They only seem to want to do their jobs when the state is watching them.

I love that this facility has a separate short term rehab! Everyone working towards the same goal really helps with your motivation. The rehab area also has a bedroom, bathroom, and full size kitchen. It really helps you transition more effectively while your healing.
