PruittHealth Athens Heritage provides excellent care. The staff are kind, compassionate, and treat residents like family. The facility is clean, welcoming, and communication with families is always clear. Staffing is also adequate, which makes a big difference in the quality of care residents receive. I’m grateful for the wonderful care they give every day—highly recommend!

People dont realize how hard it is to run facilities like this. The food wont always be the good but 3 out of 5 times its impressively good tasting, balanced and nutritious. The nurses and the staff will make mistakes but you have to look at the big picture. This place and the rooms are clean and spacious. The building is well maintained, the utilities work, the rooms and equipment are not run down. etc. Id say about 25% of the people who work there should find different vocations but even the ones who seem stressed out ultimately mean well and care. There was a lot of ups and some crazy downs while my mom was there but I would definitely come back here for my loved one because you wont find much better but you will find worse. This place is not too big and not too small. My mom loved the food and most of the people who truly cared for her and she would have stayed longer if it had been possible. I have to mention the PT and OT rehab here great. It got a little broken up towards the end but they do understand the needs of the elderly well and they work well with seniors. lastly a shout out to Gwen, D, Mariet (?) and all the Admin.

Back about 10 years ago my grandmother was at, what was called Heritage, and i would not have recommended it to anyone. But I would highly recommend it now. They have done a tremendous job of rentavation of the place and they have done away fantastic job. If anyone is looking for or needs a recommend rehab place, I highly recommend Pruitt Health Athens Heritage located on Hawthorne Ave., Athens, GA.. The administrative staff are so polite and take time with you and your family. Jennifer H. and Skylar are very kind. They keep checking in with you during your stay to make sure everything is okay. I can't say enough about how Jennifer H. was so helpful with my discharge. The CNA,s Cathy, Valerie and Julia are great. They take really great care of you. If you have to go there and you happen to get Julia during the day you will love her. The nurses I had was David and Amelia. David was my night nurse so I didn't see him to much but he was very nice. Amelia was great. She just seemed to know if you needed to ask for anything without you even asking her. Then there is house keeping. LaReesla B. does a great job in cleaning your room and bathroom. Overall PRUITTHEALTH ATHENS HERITAGE is a fantastic place to be for rehab.

My mother in law was placed here for rehab. She laid in pee all night the first two nights and they wouldn't change her. They put a port in for her antibiotic and hasn't been taken out yet. Was given her pain meds at 1:00 and then when it came time for her next dose they claimed it never came in. Now how did she get it at 1:00 if it didn't come im. You try to call and nobody answers the phone. Gave her meals nobody would eat. We questioned what some of it was because it didn't look like anything you would would eat. She pushed the call button and you could hear it beeping down the hall for 20 minutes. When they finally show up they would say the light doesn't work. I looked. The light works.
