My parents went to this nursing home before my father died. It's very clean, the staff are very caring. My dad was 90 and living independently up until he broke his hip, so nothing is as good as home. But I would recommend this facility.
I’ve lived in here twice. I’ve had some really good moments with residents and met some of the most important people in my life there. But the staff is abusive. The DON tells you if you don’t like it leave. There are a few good people that work there but it’s very few. They try to break your spirit. Please send your family or friends somewhere else.
I normally don't bash any nursing facilities, but after my experience here with my mother I feel that people in desperate times researching places for there loved ones should know about this place. I had very limited help from any facility because of my mothers condition. When I went to check this place out it was clean and all the nursing staff was friendly and hard at work. once I chose this facility and went to be with mother everyday I was disgusted at the down right neglect. My mother developed a severe bed sore that has halted her recovery. The nurses stand around and laugh and talk all evening while the cnas attend to all of the patients. I could go into detail but feel it is not necessary to air my moms business. This place is completely under staffed and the evening nurses are uneducated and simply don't care about the patients. There was one nurse that seemed like she genuinely cared but she looked to be in her 80's was wore out and probably shouldn't still be on her feet. One example I will give is they were giving my mother insulin without checking her sugar levels. She is hypoglycemic, which means her sugar is too low. This could have put her in a diabetic coma. I reported this and was told it would be taken care of only to come in the next day and find they were still giving it to her. Please be aware of this facility! I was in a desperate place because the hospital was saying she had to leave and no one else would accept her. Just thought someone should let the public know. If I would have had a review of this place I would have chosen somewhere else!!
My sister needed be in the facility for about 90 days to rehab from knee surgery. The rooms are very clean, and the food is good. She didn’t want to leave and that says a lot about the care.
Great staff with excellent care. Quiet peaceful and helpful. Very great staff cannot reiterate that enough.
