Not responsive to my alerts when needed help. Ended up going to bathroom myself because I could not wait. Argued about my meds, Argued about my meals not being appropriate for my chronic illnesses. Did not keep on pain med management. My pain was so bad ended up at West Valley who gave me compassionate care and monitored oxygen and blood sugars as well as pain. They released me to home care the next day where I had 24 hour care from Family members. Kept ahead of my pain. Was Able to bath at home and eat a proper diet. 4 days without a shower at the facility. Told me that they scheduled a shower 2 times a week. Never got my schedule. Physical therapy and QT came to me at home after I was released. To be fair , when the nurses were able to care for me the care was good. Some aids were very compassionate but I often felt guilty asking for help because they were spread to thin. After voicing my concerns I was confronted by 5 staff members. Administrator and nurse managers. The one nurse manager was so disrespectful to me. Felt bullied. I would never recommend this facility to no one. The social worker and PT and QT was very good.

I just had knee replacement surgery and I chose to come to Canyon West in Caldwell to be close to home and my wife. I found a down home style and atmosphere that I was hoping to find. Alina was above and beyond what I would have expected and was treated like family. Max (PT) worked me hard but not beyond limits and was generally very happy to work with and again treated me like family. Chuck (OT) had me home in no time. I guess that I just wanted to say that I actually had a good time while I was there. Please think about staying here for any medical long term stays. Thanks guys and gals.

I have only been here 3 days so far and have had excellent health care and PT and OT were very understanding with my slow start.

My mom was a resident of Canyon west for several years. Every time I visited the facility the staff was great to work with. It’s a nice place and unfortunately my mom passed with a massive stroke. Passing of a loved one is never an easy process but Canyon West was very professional and understanding during the complete process. Thank you for all you did!!

The staff here is incredible! They truly always go above and beyond. Kaylene makes admissions a breeze and is very responsive, just making her that much easier to work with. And the remodel looks great! I love the new floors and how refreshed the whole place looks. Keep it up Canyon West!
