Sunny Ridge is OUTSTANDING! You are treated like family every single person there is so kind and compassionate. They are professional and the care is top notch. I could not ask for a better safe environment to heal from my major surgery. The facility is so clean and very well care for, you will definitely be impressed.
I was very impressed by the quality of care my mom received. She was treated like family not just a patient. Susan(Social Services Supervisor)was the best at communicating to family as well as staff what would speed mom's recovery. Johnathan and all the physical therapy team were wonderful and supportive. A special thanks to all of nursing, cna's, and all other departments for the care our mom received. Thank you, Michael and Eric Brown
Susan in Social services goes above and beyond in caring for the residents and the family members. She has been so helpful to me listening to my concerns and needs for my mother as my mother came to them very sick and weak and she. Has been every step of the way. A true bless to both me and my mother. Thank you Susan for all you have done and support you given words can’t express how I really feel as it people like you that make the nursing home a pleasant place to be.
My father, at 101 years-old fell and broke his hip and required physical therapy and time to heal. Brenda, the director at Sunny Ridge Senior Care Center, made it possible for him to heal and rehab at her extremely well run facility. He was there 26 days, and we couldn’t have been more impressed and grateful for his care. The facility itself was clean and well ordered. His room was semiprivate, and we really appreciated having an actual wall between the bedrooms instead of just a curtain. There is a shared living room and a large bathroom in the suite as well. The three meals a day were impressive with a variety of entrees and sides, and seemed well balanced. The nurses and nutritional services staff worked hard to meet my father’s special food requests. The physical therapy was exceptional, and my father formed a real bond with Jonathon, his PT. As you can imagine, at 101, my father was “feisty but fragile” - and Jonathon knew EXACTLY how to illicit the perfect balance of safety and exertion to get the maximum benefit for my father’s rehab efforts! Jonathon was exactly what my father needed - and we are so grateful for him! Christian was my father’s Occupational Therapist, and he always went above and beyond - because he didn’t just have interesting and important life skill lessons to teach my father, he was so patient with him, even though my father was understandably grumpy or at least resistant to the training at times. I watched Christian “teach” my father on two occasions- and as a retired teacher myself, I was definitely impressed with Christian’s skillful teaching techniques! Misty and Brittney were the nurses who worked with my father most often. He fell in love with both of them because they truly, truly cared about both his physical and emotional needs. I thought he was going to try to adopt Misty - and I was in full support of that idea! Finally, I would like to let you know about Susan, my father’s “Advocate” at Sunny Ridge. When she introduced herself to my father and our family, I wondered why you would need such a position in a care facility. That question was quickly answered! There are so many “working parts” that go into a successful rehabilitation process - of which we were previously not aware - that we REALLY needed Susan to help us navigate these unknown waters! She was a caring, incredibly diligent and professional guide! She worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure EVERYTHING just WORKED! She coordinated my father’s care during his stay and even helped arrange care for him after his return home! Thank you, Susan! You are a true asset to Sunny Ridge!! It’s the people who work at Sunny Ridge who make this a wonderful place to live, however long or short your loved one’s stay may be. How blessed we are that my father was able to be here, in their care, for his rehabilitation!
My husband spilled pop all over floor was never cleaned up. Husband went to ER and didn't come back to facility for almost 2 weeks and when he did get back the floor and his tray table still were not clean. Yesterday the RN Debbie went in with a wet cloth to clean tray table and floor by hand. Disgusting that until Debbie cleaned it was not done by housekeeping. The nursing staff and the DON were notified before he was readmitted to hospital and once he got back. Unacceptable!! My husband is barely eating because the food is bad. It took 2 days for someone to fix the toilet in his room. There is more but will save for the administrator.
