We were thrilled with the treatment and care our dear Uncle Paul received while rehabbing at Ambassador. The staff was kind and caring and really put us at peace of mind knowing we can trust the people that were taking care of our loved one.
The management team here is fantastic. Answered any questions I had and they were very professional. The outdoor patio is a lovely area to sit when visiting
The nursing staff here is top notch! Any questions or concerns we had were answered promptly and we always felt like our loved one was in excellent care.
My husband was there for therapy after a hip replacement, we were told about how nice the facility was and was very disappointed in his room as soon as I walked in, the walls were beat up, the lift chair didn’t work properly and neither did his bed, the toilet paper holder came off the wall and was told maintenance would be down to fix it. As for the nursing staff they weren’t to bad on day shift they made sure he got his pain meds real close to time for them but at first he had to call for them when it was time and on evening shift it still might take them an hr or two to get them to him. Anyone should know that on pain meds it’s easier to keep it under control than to let it get away from you and try to get it back. The aid you have on day shift is the best but you need more like her on evening shift and she should train them on how to be accommodating to the patients need. As for the food, the looks leave a lot to be desired, chicken is like rubber, and this green stuff I couldn’t even figure out what it was looked discussing, a person can get burnt out on a hamburger for lunch and supper, and a egg sandwich every morning for breakfast. The appearance of food can make a person hungry or sick at their stomach. Rehab was wonderful! And I guess that’s what he was there for so I don’t think he will be back he said even if he is dying.
I’m long term need of antibiotics so they transferred me here from Reid Hospital. Night shift nurse acts like I’m not supposed to leave. I have a wound vac from the hospital. No one is familiar with it. I had to educate myself and tell them about it. The night shift nurse had to change the wound vac bandage because it was leaking. She put it upside down which had sponge on that side. I told her it was wrong and she wanted to leave it over night. It was irritating and burning. She sighed because she had to change it again. While changing it she started farting. That’s just the butt of it! You really need to do some real investigation before you leave a loved one here!
