My father has dementia, and they lock him in a wing. Forget to take him to his medical appointments and have nothing for him to do, so for those of you who say that they are amazing you probably need to have a psychological evaluation. Kim the director of the memory unit has decided her staff just needs a re-education when they forget important steps in their daily process. When talking to the director of the memory unit she told me that the nurse responsible for the situation cried and she re-educated her for now a medical procedure that would take 47 days to catch up to Save yourself sanity and money, do better! I have have video and audio, let's see how this company agrees with it's hires. Requesting F.O.I.A. of all employees! If you have a choice to take your parents to any place I would recommend any place but the brickyard between the director of the dementia unit to the Head secretary all incompetent Wow... (Update to reply e-mail sent to reply) I have talked to many people at that facility as well as left emails so I'm failing to understand how a generic ask at blah blah blah.com is going to be of any use. My father missed three important appointments because your staff neglected to complete the process of putting it in the transportation log. He has not received medication on time, nor woke for meal (since they have no activities for them to do, all he does is sleep...). Staff talking about private patient information while on a sidewalk smoking (Isn't that a HIPPA violation?) We are pulling my dad from your facility, I have contacted an Attorney. Given all the evidence I have as well as recorded statements of your staff just making excuses. An over haul of that staff and facility is needed. But we will see what happens, so good luck and God bless! Also filed with the state. P.s. This and your response will be posted for the public to see.

This place is gross, They have to share a room plus they have to share a bathroom with the people next to them, Staff isn’t friendly and they seem to not care, I wouldn’t want my worst enemy there

So far, seeing my dads experience in this place has been awesome! After being at Reid 2 times (1 week each), and a Neuro place in Indy (1 week, and their a JOKE!), Golden Rule helped us in a huge time in need. Dad was being discharged from a place in Indy (24hr notice), and dad has dementia symptoms. After calling place to place, Golden Rule answered the call and sent a Leasion to Indy for dad, and got a phone call a couple hours later that he was accepted! (1.5 hours before his discharge time, and was originally being discharged to my home, in which, myself or my home was not prepared to this). Communication has been on point, when I go visit dad, the staff has always been helpful and courteous. After 2 weeks at Reid, and 1 week at a Neuro place, neither one of them would diagnose dad, just sent him off to places. But Golden Rule helped with a diagnosis, that didn't take much time at all. To the employees of the dementia unit and the director, and Josh of Admissions, thank you all for showing support and urgency in our time of need. BTW. Prior to arriving here, dad could barely walk, barely eat on his own, and I've seen dad do both!

Excellent caring staff all around. They work well as a team and strive to make sure your loved one feels at home during their stay. Management team works the floor and shows their staff in order to be a great leader you must work along side your staff.

Brickyard golden rule is terribly managed place there are some excellent staff by that I mean a few. I was in my wife's room's bathroom and a staff member walked in on me while I was doing a number 2 and wouldn't leave until I kept screaming to leave. I filed a grievance. The managment said the bathroom in patients room is not for our use and it was fine that there employee walked in on me. In fact it's my fault they acted like. They are wrong. Also its dirty run down and I found ants in our room. Doctor Faulkner told me he didn't need to see patients the data is in his computer and doesn't need to see all the patients even though I had to inform him my wife was missing skull bone that was why she had a helmet for. Also they will lie to your face not most of the staff but managment has no problem. They also say during any feeding time they can't change soiled diapers so they make them set in it till after food trays are done from anywhere about a hour to a hour and a half. Lots more worse things.
