This is, BY FAR, the worst short- term care facility I’ve ever seen. I would not leave a stray dog here. They DROPPED my aunt on the floor. She suffered an additional injury, when an unsecured dresser fell onto her. The bathrooms were filthy and we brought in our own cleaning supplies to clean. The staff were overworked and very stressed. The “ nursing supervisor” supervised no one and nothing and was completely unresponsive to anything we asked. We actually phoned the Cheshire Police, who were very gracious, and even showed up, on site, but could not do anything except “ be a presence” as we removed my aunt from their “ care”. I am shocked to find that people are still being admitted. This occurred two years ago. Perhaps things have improved§??
As a family, we had a wonderful experience at Elim Park rehab. Her transition from the hospital to Elim was seamless and everyone was so welcoming! Every staff member- from the nurses to housekeeping was so caring and helpful. The food always looked appetizing and the staff accommodated our large family while celebrating her birthday in the lounge area. The entire community was well maintained and very clean. I would highly recommend Elim Park for your rehabilitation needs.
During the summers of 2017 and 2019 I underwent surgical joint replacements, each followed by a rehabilitation experience at Elim Park. I think that the care I received was extraordinary. The medical staff was very knowledgable, vigilant, readily available when needed, friendly, and informative in their interactions. I felt that they invariably communicated tender loving care and encouragement. They made me feel like my welfare was personally important to them. Similarly, my physical therapy and occupational therapy experiences were professional and encouraging, very motivating. Just before my return home, a PT/OT team came to my house and helped my wife and me to think more carefully about how to facilitate my remaining rehabilitation at home. My only regret is that I miss the friendships that I made there with fellow patients and staff. My experience at Elim Park was outstanding.
My grandmother was at Elim Park for short-term rehab following a hospital stay. She had a phenomenal experience! The care she received was top-notch! The therapies she received were exceptional and focused on exactly what she needed. Her care was on-point and she was discharged home in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend this place!
My husband Harold has been at Elim Park Health Care Center for a little over six months and the care has been excellent. His team of nurses, CNAs, physical and occupational therapists and the entire life enrichment department have been tremendous. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he’s being cared for in such a caring and loving way.
