This is a testimony from my dad: Bob Roebling “I just recently stayed at the Evansville Protestant Home. It was the most outstanding nursing home I have ever seen in my life and I’ve been in four. It was very clean, extremely accommodating, extremely experienced. The food was unbelievable, just like home cooking. The total staff knew exactly what they were doing. You never waited more than about 10 seconds for service. The dietary there is to die for, is the best of anything I’ve ever eaten and even in public restaurants. This nursing home should be rated as high as you can possibly rate it because I was totally impressed and I had four different nursing home experiences. Please hear my testimonial and order this company at the top because they are terrific. Thank you so much for helping me get back on my feet and get healthy enough to return home.”
I came from out of state to visit my aunt there. I was impressed about the cleanliness and the employees who gave me directions to find her room. I had an emotional visit, and when I stepped outside my aunts room I was fighting back tears. I locked eyes with a woman employee. She acknowledged me and she said some kind words. I just looked at her and asked if I could have a hug. She said sure. I really needed that hug. She was so kind to just hug a weepy stranger!
After breaking an ankle, I received excellent physical and occupational therapy during a two-week stay at Evansville Protestant Home. The nursing and custodial staff were also top notch and personable.
Have not visited the nursing home section, but the assisted living section is nice. Does not have an offensive order like most nursing homes, always smells/looks clean. The "apartments" range in size and seem to have a cozy feel. Staff is very friendly, except for one nurse that has a terrible attitude towards the residents (hopefully they correct that situation soon). Overall a wonderful placed and I would highly recommend this place.
