hi I recently underwent a planned neck surgery on 1/6/2025 at Washington Hospital in Fremont, and the procedure was a total success. With any spine-related surgery, it's crucial to have a well-monitored rehabilitation period, typically lasting 3 to 4 weeks. As a single father with young kids, I had no choice but to rely on a skilled nursing facility for this recovery time. My case manager suggested Mission Valley Post Acute, conveniently located across the street and with availability. A friend escorted me to the facility, and to my delight, I was met with a warm welcome. As soon as I arrived, a kind lady greeted me with a big, welcoming smile, ensuring a seamless and VIP-like experience from the car to inside. Upon entering the facility, you immediately feel treated as an individual, irrespective of your background, education, or career. You become a person in need of dedicated care and support to regain your health. One of the most touching aspects I noticed was the language of compassion in the air. The staff uses endearing terms like "papa," "mamma," and "abba," words that convey respect and trust, when addressing patients. For younger patients, they use “Mr.” followed by the first name, adding a personal touch to the care. The staff at Mission Valley Post Acute is truly impressive, handling the immense responsibility of attending to the basic human needs: pain management, nutrition, hydration, lung exercises, bowel movements, and medication. They do all of this while offering kind smiles and encouraging words, which are essential for healing. A rehabilitation center's success depends significantly on human capital. Unlike hospitals with expensive equipment, a center like this thrives on its compassionate staff. As one lady wisely said, "Relax. Peace of mind accelerates healing." During my stay, I've met countless dedicated individuals here, each contributing to my recovery journey. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care have been phenomenal. Thank you, Mission Valley Post Acute, for making my recovery such a positive and empowering experience. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a rehabilitation facility in Fremont!

I want to express my and my family’s profound gratitude to the Mission Valley Post Acute Center team. Every single person we encountered - including but not limited to Rafina, lliana, Candy, and Kim - was kind, compassionate, present, and focused on providing the best care possible. He’s so lucky to have had you as his care team. Kimberly, you handled every challenge with grace and compassion. Your professionalism and unwavering commitment - during all days of the week and all hours of the day - during my father’s stay was incredible. This made all the difference for me and my family during a very uncertain and unsettling time. I’m sure he wouldn’t be doing as well as he is now without your tireless efforts. If you are trying to decide where to have your loved one recover, you would be very, very fortunate to have them stay at Mission Valley.
