My girlfriend ended up needed to be in an assisted living facility. I wanted one in Goddard and price was a concern since she is on assistance. We chose the Goddard Medicalodge on Easy St. What a grat choice we made! She is well taken care of here and Samantha R the coordinator really goes out of her way to make the residence are really take care of at all times. I have no complaints. Most of the food is pretty good, but there is always an alternate when you don't want what they will be serving. You can also put a small fridge in your room to store personally purchased foods. They cannot allow microwaves in the rooms due to the fire code. They do have a kitchenette area where you can use the community microwave. They have a laundry room where residents can wash their own clothes, but laundry is part of the services they provide. I am pleasantly surprised and impressed. Don't be afraid to check them out. I think you'll find they are the go to assisted living center for Goddard area residents

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the administration, all the nursing staff, the cooks, and the housekeeping staff for the incredible love and compassion you showed to our mother before her passing. Your kindness and care brought her comfort and peace, and for that, we are forever thankful. You all became part of our extended family, and she truly loved each of you. Thank you for making such a difference in her life and ours.

Called this facility to be transferred to speak with someone about placing a family member here. Never got transferred so called back- as we had also left a voicemail the other day and hadn’t heard back. The phone just rang So my mom called back again and a male answers the phone saying this is “Rays Car lot” I called on my phone - same male answers and pretends to be an administrator?? I ask to be transferred to a charge nurse because clearly these children who answer the phone aren’t capable of being professional and helping me. The “charge nurse” was the original receptionist girl who picks up the phone saying “you’ve called 3 times now” Was able to finally get to Sam who does admissions . The only pleasant voice I heard this whole experience but based off the two other people I encountered on the phone I don’t think I want to place my loved one here. Seems like a joke. Definitely not a good face or voice for a company. Very ridiculous.

A very old building with dirty windows and carpet in the hallways and dinning room. You can't drink the water in the breakroom and management brings in their own bottles but the residents are expected to drink it. Administrations main focus is to get bodies in beds even if their is not enough staff. As usual in a nursing home dependent residents are placed in front of the nursing station for hours and hours without being toileted. My training in a new position for me was sub standard and without direction. Many of the staff were very nice and grossly underpaid which is why they only had 1 full time RN on staff. I received my insurance card 6 weeks after I was eligible to use it. I would not reccomend putting a family member here and it is sad the VA uses this facility for the Veterans. They deserve better and so did i.

I cannot believe that this place is still open. It is a run-down facility that seems more like an old hospital. The care there is second-rate at best. Food served is horrible and for those residents who choke, they don’t seem to know that they might need their food ground. Listening to another resident choke on every bite today as I visited my Mom for lunch upset other residents at her table as well as myself. And, the lunch rooms and tables or floors had not even been cleaned from breakfast! They don’t give them other choices for meals, like we were told that they would. My Mom has been told by one caregiver that if she fell, she would be left on the floor because the caregiver’s back hurt! They were checking Mom for UTI and we were never told if she actually had one or not. Time to respond for buttons pushed is over 20-30 minutes at best. Residents share a bathroom and a sink that needs more room for accessibility. There was a bucket in the hallway to catch water from a roof leak in the hallway. Workers park along the road in front of the facility leaving no room for visitors to park. One even parked in the loading zone for when we pick up and drop off my Mom. We had to park away from there and wheel her around that vehicle which was no easy task and when I said something to the worker, she glared at me! We have tried to find other facilities, but because of so many homes closing in the area, there are no openings. I would urge people to start speaking up to get better care for our elderly!
