The staff is great in dealing with my mom with Alzheimers and that is the reason for the 4 stars, however I would like more communication about my loved one. Even though I visit daily there is no one to give me information. My mother had a fall. I got a phone message at 11:30 pm (that I didn’t read until 2 days later) that they were taking her to the ER. No follow up phone call. They lost (or threw away) my mothers lower denture and I don’t think anyone was actively helping to find them I get the same standard answer of I wasn’t on floor at the time or I will contact Social Services. Even though I have clothes for her some ended up missing and she was wearing what ever fit at the time they had available. I finally found some but one dress is still missing.
I went to move my mom to another nursing home. Her room had nothing but roaches, road. Jakes are overclosed and everything had roaches. All in them, be careful. If you have your family live in this facility. Because it is a really nasty facility. I wouldn't have any of my family live there
The nursing staff are very friendly. Facility is clean. The the medical care is lacking. I have had three friends there. They lack communication with family. They violated HIPPA. They accused people visitors of things with no evidence and denied grand children and children from seeing their parents. Based on hearsay. One man was in there 6 months before they got him glasses or saw a neurologist. When family tried to help by taking to see his already established neurologist they told the family that they can’t do that. They put the loved one on meds without informing family. This affected him poorly but it was weeks before they changed it. The family had to call to inquire what was happening. The loved one claimed he fell 2-3 times and called for help and he sat on the floor for hours before someone came to help him. The rooms are made for one patient but the make a bed against the wall in the entry of the rooms for a second person. The facility is aged. They misdiagnosed one of my friends and she almost died. They didn’t catch her cancer either. I hope that I am never put in a facility like that.
My husband has incontinence he should have his pants changed at least 4 times a day. That's not happening he's always soaking wet this causes UTI . The food doesn't help him being a a diabetic should have healthy food low carbs and no fry food well not good just causes his sugar reading very high I wouldnt recommend this place
Was a pleasure helping with the recent party for the residents. The staff was polite and very helpful. The only concern I feel like expressing is that the physical surroundings could use some sprucing up.
