I had a head injury and some other alignments and I appreciate my time at Mapleton. The entire staff, CNAs, Nurses, Housekeeping, Maintenance, counselors and kitchen staff are amazing. Each staff member has continuously shown me the upmost care, support and assistance with a high level of authenticity. The food is okay and could use some upgrades; however when I have communicated with the kitchen staff regarding personal modifications, the staff has made the adjustments effortlessly to a more healthier regiment my concerns. I have been there for over 5 months and I am transitioning to an apartment with the help of the resourceful staff. This place is a great spot for me to have been able to connect more to my INNER BEING and develop a better spiritual practice for myself. I plan to come back and volunteer and share some of my wisdom and upgrades. Continue to do a fantastic job.
This facility billing department is contacting me and my boyfriend about a patient that is not related to us. The patient at one time rented a room from us. Until 2 years ago, the patient would not take care of himself, got sick. There is absolutely NO reason for the billing department to call us. We are not related to the patient nor his guardian. I find this matter inappropriate. We are absolutely NOT responsible for any of the patients debts. We have no information about this patients family, friends or assets. I will not allow this facility and it's billing department to burden me about this patient. If the patient has passed on, thats for his family to take care of. If his family is dodging responsibility about this patient, I'm sure they have valid reasons for going NO contact with this patient.
I wouldn't give a single star. My brother passed away in this house of horrors one week ago today. We received NO apology or even so much as an expression of condolence. He wasn't there 24 hours and he had fallen off his bed, broke his nose and shattered his cheekbone, and was rushed off the the ER. When I spoke with his nurse, I asked how he fell out of his bed and she replied "I don't know." When I asked what hospital he was being sent to, she replied "I don't know." Again, no apology, no call to his family to find out his condition. What's worse, he fell off the bed two more times! Most attempts to make contact with a nurse or my brother went unanswered and the calls eventually dropped and disconnected. My brother had only been there a short time when a staff member informed me that a patient lodged a complaint about overhearing a staff member speaking to or about my brother in a derogatory way. There was never any follow up with me from any staff whatsoever on the outcome of that event. The staff are cold, insensitive and uncompassionate. I would never send anyone I love or care about to this terrible place.
My Mom stayed at Mapleton for skilled nursing after her hospital visit. She was there about ten days in December 2023. She said that everyone who worked there was wonderful, the nurses were terrific, the food was plentiful, the exercise classes were good. I visited often during that time and observed the staff being responsive and pleasant with the guests. Some things that could use improvement are the building is old and the electrical outlets in the rooms are limited. The TV was difficult to figure out how to work it and no one could help, we couldn't work the remote or change the channel. During her stay there was a plumbing issue so the front lobby was a mess. It was repaired and lobby functional by the time she left. I would have liked better communication and a designated contact person to understand the care and plan for my Mom, but the PT staff was great helping her to get stronger and I did talk with a staff member. After discharge, the paperwork was not completed correctly and the prescriptions couldn't be filled until the proper details were provided. But when you have to put a parent in a facility like this, the most important thing is the care they receive and she raved about how wonderful the staff was and the nurses. Though there can be improvements, and hopefully there are, I would recommend Mapleton for your loved ones.
I was admitted to Mapleton to help with my broken leg. The nurses, cna, housekeeping, therapy, maintenace and all staff were wonderful. My care was fantastic and the facility is beautiful. The food wasn't the best but it did the job. I am leaving, but if I have to come back I would 100 percent come back Here. Thank you and I love you guys and God bless.
