If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Constantly not enough staff (I believe they have been cited by state for not adequately staffing) and they low census even when they really shouldn’t. I’ve worked in nursing homes long enough to know what the staffing should look like and it’s not that. Hallways are full of clutter. Oh and if the internet goes down- instead of management being all hands on deck, well they just decide they’re all going to leave instead. No help to the floor staff? Didn’t call pharmacy to get any papers with the residents meds on those so they knew what they should be getting that day. They let residents smoke right outside the door so it stinks all the time! Disgusting. I would never want my worst enemy to go here.

Not a good place. I was there for 5 hours. Asked help to the bathroom telling the cna i cannot walk that far just had ankel surgery. I was a fall risk. Never put a gate belt on me. Never got me a commode my toilet was broke didnot flash. I got up from useing the bathroom grab my walker lost my blance. Fell hitting the wall ended up putting weight on my ankel hit mu head hurt my leg. I left. Went to er. They never had someone check me out. My dinner was cold. Didnot feel safe there. Donot send your love ones there. Asked for stuff never got.

I stayed at Riverbend for a couple weeks for recoup and rehab after ankle replacement surgery. If I could give more that five stars I would. I have nothing but a great big thank you to everyone working there. The nurses and CNA’s were all so kind and always ready to help and respond to my requests. The laundry staff was great. They wash daily and bring it back the next day. Cleaning workers were friendly and thorough. The physical therapy department was so good- they taught me all the skills I need at home to take care of myself while still “one legged”. Behind the scenes all my outside contact and discharge ready process was done professionally. The whole staffing program coordinates beautifully. Did I say I liked River Bend? One last thing- it is all housed and held together in a beautiful and comfortable facility. No complaints at all.

My Mother is a current resident and has been living at Rivers Bend for years now. She has been given nothing but outstanding care and has developed some great friendships with aids, nurses and staff, some she now considers family. In my opinion, the staff has handled the care of my Mother incredibly even though it has not always been easy caring for her, and has always let family know if an issue arises. I know her care and safety is their #1 concern...and as a daughter that puts my mind at ease knowing she is taken care of how she needs to be. She always reminds me how happy she is and how much she loves living there. Its comforting to know shes happy.
