After dealing with this nursing home I’ve realized the difference between nurses. For example, one nurse named Journey had the worst bed side manner that was so blatant and unwarranted I have ever witnessed. From just asking a question about a medication to just asking where the bathroom is she would storm out of the room. When a loved one asked what medication she gave she would completely ignore us while rolling her eyes then leaving the room. She blatantly ignored family members, not even look at us, not answer any question or even acknowledge anyone else in the room. She was very rude for no reason making family and visitors very uncomfortable. She did it multiple times each day we visited. When brought to the managers attention he shrugged stating that some nurses don’t have a good bedside manner. Which was very disappointing to hear. The other nurses were very caring and was patient with us during this difficult time. The facility was clean for the most part. Overall the facility was fine but I wouldn’t send a loved one if this is the typical response from staffing.
Ince again for the neh time my mother has not been given a shower thereupon too many staff called off. No attempt to rectify the situation, when told they would need to add her to the shower list the next day, her CNA gave her excuses why she could not have a shower. It has now been 5 days since she was showered. She has been left in bed all day. I called out there to talk to the charge nurse again today to deal with the issue currently I have been on hold for 35 min. After I was, hung up on after I had to call 2 times because it rang until it hung up
My dad hasn’t even been here for 24 hours yet thankfully he is able to communicate with us and use his Personal phone to contact us He called us last night and told us it had been two hours That he had been hitting his call light and nobody had been in there to check on him. One of us went down there filed a complain against the nurse because she got a smart attitude with my mom. He had been laying in his own feces for over two hours. This morning He had been hitting his call light he had been laying in his feces for over 40 minutes to an hour. I can’t imagine what they are doing to the people who are not able to consciously report what is being done To them Not to mention, he needs assistance with eating. They brought food to them over two hours ago and nobody has been in or offered to help him eat his breakfast. If they are this under staffed they need to be shut down This is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place.
I run a Senior Center and one of our people is a patient there. A group of us got together and went to visit her since we live a fair distance away. There were 9 of us and were made to feel welcome from the time we stepped in the door. Some places would scorn a bunch for coming in at the same time. Everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful.
This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! Would not put a dead animal with this place, let alone any of my family members! You have employees sleeping while on the job. You have employees bringing in their own animals inside the facility knowing they are not allowed. What happens when an animal bites one of the residents and causes injury or worse? You have managers or head personnel that are supposed to be "supervising" the employees they are responsible for, off sleeping somewhere else. You have one or two staff members who are expected to do the work that takes more than one person to do and when that person asks for help, you are told that its up to you to get it done. You have residents falling and injuring themselves when they are supposed to be being looked after by the staff. These innocent fragile individuals that are residents with this facility, are putting their trust and care in their hands and they are being treated in a way that is absolutely sad just sad!
