My mother is currently there because she broke her hip and had to have a pin put in so she needed rehab and now she's having swallowing problems so they are working on that. I have tried to call twice now and someone answers me and then the phone rings and rings and rings when they transfer me.. I would really like to get a hold of my mother especially since I live out of state and my sister is not always there with her cell phone so I'm able to call her. Please work on having better communication within your facility so family members are able to get a hold of their loved ones.
As of 2/26/2021 our experience with this facility has been horrendous. Like many of you who may be seeking a rehab facility for your loved one it is difficult to find a facility that is either not full or severely understaffed. We choose Regency because a previous distant family member had utilized this facility. Without being specific I can some up my father’s care this way. Ignored (bathed only twice in 16 days), left to sleep in urine soaked linens, served meals that were not only poor in quality and did not meet his dietary needs for building strength for recovery, and were ALWAYS cold. Finally inadequate working medical equipment. But the most egregious fault is lack of COMPASSION for your loved one. There is no CARE or UNIFIED desire to rehabilitate your loved one. My father was admitted following a 3+ week of hospital stay for COVID/Pneumonia. He was released to be rehabbed to not only gain strength but to improve his lung capacity as a result of his infection. I can honestly say as I write this he has not improved one iota. The most infuriating part of his stay, we have brought our concerns to the administration of this facility and all are long on verbiage and short on action. On 2/25/21 we strongly made our multiple concerns to the administrator and if our family members DO NOT see improvement in CARE and COMPASSION we WILL be removing our father from this facility. I cannot in good conscience recommend this facility for your loved one if rehabilitation from a illness or injury is your objective. Respectfully Dr. D. Michael Watkins
I visited a relative there on the weekend and noticed two individuals sitting out in the hall at tables. A very elderly woman sat at the first table eating dinner and there was another lady sitting by her to assist. The second table had a very elderly man who needed assistance but no one was there with him. About an hour and a half passed when I left. The elderly man's food of corn , meat, etc was on the floor. With a fork in his hand, he attempted to eat the turned over glass of juice. It was obvious he hadn't eat anything. I have seen this before. Eventually he's given a feeding tube .My heart cries for him. Not enough staff, or not enough? Stars are based on my relatives care; she feeds herself.
Gave 1 star only because can't give 0. Never followed care plans. Claimed they went to check on mother but web cam clearly shows no one came to room. Charged for services not received.
Heard they're are dealing with outbreak of covid, because of poor rules & regulations with testing.
