In mid-July, I took my 88 year-old uncle to the hospital for difficulties with stage 4 lung cancer. He had done zero estate planning at that time and we managed to get that done while he was in the hospital. All of the responsibilities became mine, medical and financial. I had some experience with managing an estate, but mostly on the money side. After approximately ten days in the hospital, we took my uncle to Kent Regency for rehab. The medical side of things was all new to me. The administrative staff there, particularly Larissa, was enormously helpful in helping me switch up my uncle's coverage to maximize his benefits and minimize costs. Having lost my own father recently, I was going through it all over again. The head nurse, Lori, was always there for me with information and the occasional "counseling session." I was wrestling with some decisions and she used her knowledge and experience to help me make the best decisions for my uncle. When it came time to transition from rehab to end of life care (their version of Hospice), I was content with him living his final days at Kent Regency. He was moved to another section of the facility and Brooke took over his care until he passed peacefully in his sleep about a week ago. So, thank you again to Larissa, Lori, Brooke and the rest of the staff there who made my uncle comfortable in his final days.
It was my first day of clinical at Kent regency. I loved it. The staff was great and willing to help and made time to find us things we want to learn especially for our skills testing. Shout out to Terry the med tech there she was absolutely wonderful and has great energy. I wanted to do vitals and she made sure before I left I got to do them. I’m actually looking forward to the next 2 weeks of clinicals
All of the staff is absolutely amazing, there very helpful and empathetic. so easy to talk to and they care about their patients . I visit my dad daily and i worked in the field for years and this staff here is the best ive ever encountered.
We visited our friend, Susan , and brought her lunch. The staff was kind enough to let us use their break area. Everyone is friendly and we're happy that the staff is kind to our friend. Thank you!
I was here for roughly 2 weeks for pain management and physical therapy after surgery. The nurses would refuse to give me my doctor prescribed pain medicine in a consistent manner. I was supposed to be taking medication for severe pain every 6 hours alternating with a milder pain killer every 6 hours in between. The nurses would tell me to fight thru the pain, consistently try to get me to take a lower dose and just make me wait hours after the prescribed times. They. Would force me to set an alarm on my phone to wake me to specifically ask for pain medicine or I would not be given it at all, and when I did set an alarm it could still take an hour or more. After a few day I developed soars all over my back and face, not once did a nurse look at them even after asking for help multiple times for the pain and discomfort. I had to hold napkins to my face while attempting to sleep to stop the fluids from cunning down my face. The bathroom facilities were unusable as the commode was far too high in the air so I was forced to use a bed pan. I was told by aids that almost every person they put in that room complaints about it. The food was the worst food I have ever eaten, when I was able to eat it at all. Many times I went without eating simply because it was so bad. Luclky for me my spouse brought me in food or I do not know what I would do. There are some wonderful people working there, but unfortunately there are also many who should not be allowed to work in a kennel. I saw and experienced night workers leaving patients to call for help for hours with no one even coming to check on them, Patients being put on bedpans and left and when they called for help the aid just throwing up her hands and having a fit because the person who put them on the pan had already gone home. There are many workers there at night who are simply cruel, rude and refuse to offer any care to the patients. It is simply not fair to the good people there to have to pick up the slack from the many bad. In a nut shell, I would absolutely refuse to ever go to this facility again. After my experience here, I truly hope I die in my sleep so I never have to go to a place like this again. To “the owner” I have already spoken to you. March 12th, 2025 2530gdl10015
