The only reason I'm giving this place (4⭐) instead of (5⭐) is because of the food, as well as the physical space itself, which needs a lot of improvement appearance-wise (but also for sanitary reasons). The indoors are quite outdated and not appropriate for a semi-hospital environment. HOWEVER, my experience here (yes, I'm still here) has been extremely pleasant when it comes to the staff and the feeling of being cared for. I got hit by a car two months ago, and needed several surgeries for numerous injuries, including fractures and soft tissue wounds. I spent a week here right after my initial surgeries, but had to go back to the hospital for more procedures due to a complication on my thigh; when I got back, the entire staff had prepared a nice spot for me according to my specific needs; the physical therapy department is also AMAZING, and definitely one of the strengths of this place - shout-out to Raena and Shawn, who have been incredible at pushing me towards a fast recovery and making sure I do that with all the support I need. Most of the nurses and aids are also incredible! A few of them even treat me like family and always check in on me to guarantee that I'm being cared for. In addition to all of those qualities, the administration here is very present (shout-out to the social workers and nurse practitioners), and some of the residents are very pleasant to be around. I think it's important to highlight that I'm 32, so my experience is definitely not the same as someone double or triple my age; most of the elderly residents here seem to be cared for with the same consideration that the staff gives me, but the overall structure should be better adapted to provide these patients with more fresh air, comfort, and space to let their individuality thrive. I know that these are generally common issues in nursing homes, but it would be irresponsible of me to not highlight that. If you have a relative who's a resident in this facility (especially if they are here long-term), please come over and check in on them regularly - twice a week if possible. The staff here does everything they can to fulfill the needs of each resident, but they can't do it all. Family presence is EXTREMELY important for their recovery and well-being!

My sister recently passed away and was a resident at Hopkins Center for over 4 years. The medical care, kindness and compassion that the staff provided to my sister was superb. My sister considered Hopkins Center home because of the excellent staff. It provided comfort to my family knowing that not only were her medical needs being met, but that she was being taken care of by kind, wonderful people. Thank you.

My mother had to receive rehabilitation at this facility after a stroke. While here her personal belongings and toiletries were stolen. The facility brushed it under the rug and never replaced her belongings. I guess this sort of thing happens often at this facility. We had my mother transferred immediately from this facility. I would not recommend this facility.

The staff is VERY nice and professional, kind and respectful. My family loves them. But the facility truly Needs to be deep cleaned from top to bottom. If the facility would match the customer service you would be OUTSTANDING! A five-star easy.

I take my hat off to the wound care team at The Hopkins Center, Specifically Latifa RN and Mathew Specialist... I am a student who trained with the team for a couple of days, getting a chance to ask questions, and also receiving a chance to witness the process of care for several wounds, from the beginning to the end; which all of them closed beautifully and I mean all of them. The amount of information I was given regarding wound care has me walking away with confidence; knowing I have the knowledge and skills to past on the needs to other clients. Thanks again Latifa and Mathew for passing along your knowledge, skills and most importantly Care.
