Mennowood Retirement Community

Mennowood is an amazingly active community with wonderful staff and opportunities. Michele, Emily, Thelma, Brenda, and Chrissy are all enthusiastic and empathic. Pat at the front desk is always pleasant and helpful. If you want a beautiful community with lots to offer, this is it!

My wife was a resident of Comfort Cove for 22 months. Bringing her to Mennowood was among the smartest decisions I have made. The team there make miracles every day. They are not perfect but on the things that matter they never miss. My wife was happy there (the day before she passed she smiled), she also felt safe and secure. They have an activity schedule and they actually execute it. Surely there are things that get confused like who's clothes she was waring today but she was always clean, she looked good and she was well cared for -- always. Comfort Cove at Mennowood is a very special place because of the extraordinary people there who care for the residents. I am at peace because she is and that is in no small measure because of the quality of care she received while in Comfort Cove.

Our dad has been a Mennowood resident for over a year. We can't say enough about the caring and kind care givers they are. He is in the memory care side of the community. They provide a great deal of stimulation physically and mentally. They create a family environment for the residents as well as care givers. They engage everyone in activities both inside and outside the building. Our dad loves to be outside in the courtyard or on a bus trip adventure. There is laughter and joy for my dad and all the residents. They encourage everyone to engage in things that make them happy, our dad loves to dance. From the time you go through the front door everyone has a smile and is beyond helpful. We are blessed to have moved our dad to Mennowood.

Michele Ryba and Emily Bartgis are a phenomenal sales and marketing team. They have wonderful activities and an engaging staff with friendly smiles who meet their residents needs. Well run by the nursing director and administrator!

We have been beyond happy with the care that my mom has received at Mennowood. She is happier than she has been in years! There are many activities that she can take part in, and it’s not such a large facility that she feels overwhelmed. It truly is home to her, and we are so thankful. It was a big transition, and the staff and residents helped make it feel like she was surrounded by her second family. She moved in just before the pandemic, so we are looking forward to the days when they can have even more activities for all of the families to enjoy. The staff has done an amazing job planning parades and socially distanced activities for the residents. We would highly recommend that you consider Mennowood for you or your loved ones.
