Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our clients in hospice. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor and report changes in clients' health status to nursing staff or case manager
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
Adhere to care plans and follow protocols for home health, hospice, or assisted living settings
Maintain client confidentiality and respect clients' rights and dignity
Document care provided and any changes in client condition in accordance with company policy and state regulations
Requirements:
Current state CNA certification
Minimum of 6 months experience in home health, hospice, or assisted living settings preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
CPR certification
Must pass a background check and drug screening
