Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of others? Country Canyon Adult Foster Home is seeking caring and reliable Caregivers to join our team on a Full-time, Part-time, and PRN (as needed) basis for both Day and Night shifts.

Job Summary:
As a Caregiver at Country Canyon Adult Foster Home, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life of our residents. You will provide compassionate assistance with their daily needs, promote their independence, and contribute to a positive and home-like atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting. Provide continence care as needed.
* Mobility Assistance: Assist residents with safe transfers and ambulation, utilizing proper techniques and equipment.
* Medication Reminders: Remind residents to take their prescribed medications and follow established protocols for medication assistance (if applicable and trained).
* Meal Assistance: Prepare light meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines and assist residents with eating and hydration. Document intake as needed.
* Light Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of residents' rooms and assist with their personal laundry.
* Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage with residents in a positive and respectful manner, providing emotional support, companionship, and encouraging social interaction.
* Observation & Reporting: Monitor residents' physical, mental, and emotional conditions, documenting any changes or concerns and reporting them to the appropriate staff.
* Following Care Plans: Understand and adhere to individualized care plans for each resident, providing care in a way that respects their dignity and preferences.
* Assisting with Activities: Encourage and assist residents to participate in planned activities within the home.
* Emergency Response: Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and respond appropriately in urgent situations.
* Communication & Teamwork: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow staff members, contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
* Genuine passion for caring for others and a commitment to providing compassionate care.
* Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow directions and work independently as well as part of a team.
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Ability to pass a background check as required by the State of Oregon.
* 6 hour pre service dementia training through Oregon care partners
Prior experience in a caregiving role is a plus.
Shift Availability:
* Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM): PRN (Weekday and Weekend availability needed)
* Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM):
* Full-time: Requires weekday and weekend availability.
* Part-time: Requires weekday and weekend availability.
* PRN: Requires weekday and weekend availability.
